DPT Disability Programs & Training provides those with disabilities needed services, programs, and resources to become included and independent to the best of their ability. 

We advocate for the community or individuals to receive public services both locally and nationally, in areas of government benefits, employment, and education.

DPT offers resources and training to improve employability skills. Clients can participate in workshops on resume writing, career exploration, and interviewing skills. Assistance will be provided for those receiving Social Security Disability (SSDI), are enrolled in the Ticket to Work Program, and other related benefits counseling. 

 

We teach the skills necessary to thrive with minimal assistance from others using different teach techniques such as: 

• Group Setting Exercises 

• Mentoring and Coaching 

• Skills Training 

• Assistive Technology 

• Educational Programs

Assist in applying and requalify for the following benefits:

• Social Security Disability Insurance (SSD)

• Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

• Medicaid 

• Food Stamps 

• Unemployment 

• Other resources as needed
